Ever wondered, how great it would be to pass on your favorite stuff to someone who can make a real use of it? Instead of tossing it out or putting it in a drop box where you never know how useful it will be, what if there was a place where you can find someone looking for that very item? We have a solution for that! This forum bringing together people who seek and offer help to each other directly, without the need for any intermediate organization. Cutting the middlemen makes this process very efficient by avoiding the average 35% of administrative costs incurred by non-profit organizations.

Founder

Hello, I’m Anirudh Moholkar, founder of The Help Forum. I am a student at William Fremd High School, Palatine, IL.

Why this Forum?

I think one of the greatest strengths of our country is the people’s penchant for helping others and donating things. The common citizens of the US have ensured that the country is consistently ranked first in domestic and international aid. Yet, there is no common place where people who can offer help and those who need help can meet up. Most non-profit organizations spend an average of 35% of their donations on administrative expenses. So if we can just build a place where people can interact and help each other directly without having the need for middlemen, it will make the process much more efficient. I want to make this Forum a place where old communities thrive and new ones are born. The purpose of this forum is to help people help each other. I believe that everyone could use a little bit of help, especially because of this pandemic. Thus this organization, a place where anyone is welcome, and a community where everyone is supported.
